R&A envisioned a wedding that felt timeless, elegant, and connected to the natural beauty of Prince Edward County, and Waupoos Estate Winery and Restaurant was the perfect place to bring that vision to life. As the only waterfront vineyard in Prince Edward County, the estate offers a setting unlike any other, where lush vineyard rows meet sparkling lake views, creating an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and undeniably refined.
For a couple drawn to classic style, meaningful guest experiences, and the beauty of the County, every detail of this celebration was designed to feel effortless, elevated, and break from their busy everyday city lives.
The design direction for the day was rooted in a classic palette of whites, creams, and soft greens, allowing the natural beauty of the winery to shine while adding an understated sense of luxury. Crisp linens, repurposed candlelight, layered florals, and elegant place settings created a look that felt timeless rather than trend-driven.
Against the backdrop of the vines and waterfront, the soft neutral palette gave the entire day an editorial quality, clean, romantic, and beautifully cohesive. Every detail was thoughtfully selected to complement the estate’s charm, from the ceremony florals to the reception tablescape beneath the tent.
A Guest Experience Designed Around the Setting
One of the most memorable aspects of R&A’s wedding was how intentionally the guest experience was woven into their semi-flexible timeline. The onsite cabana became a beautiful cocktail space where guests could relax with a glass of local wine, enjoy the breeze off the water, and take in the surrounding vineyard views.
Because Waupoos Estate is both a winery and restaurant, the celebration naturally leaned into the incredible culinary experience the property is known for. A standout moment was the beautifully presented oyster bar, which added a sophisticated County touch while celebrating the region’s connection to local food and wine.
This kind of thoughtful hospitality was central to the entire day. From the reception dinner the night before at Bacado in Picton to late-night dancing on their wedding day, each transition felt seamless and inviting, giving guests the sense that they were part of something intimate and unforgettable.
Wedding days go by so quickly and we often encourage our couples come earlier and stay a bit longer, making the entire weekend feel like a celebration of their love.
Fantastic Cuisine and a Tent Reception Under the Vineyard Sky
Dinner was held beneath the tent, where the estate’s waterfront vineyard setting created an atmosphere that was equal parts elegant and welcoming. Guests were treated to fantastic cuisine, thoughtfully prepared to reflect the elevated dining experience Waupoos Estate is known for.
As the sun began to set, the tent transformed into the perfect space for celebration. Candlelight on the tables, soft string lighting overhead, and the energy of loved ones gathering together created the most beautiful transition from dinner into dancing.
The dance floor quickly filled, to watch R&A’s beautifully choreographed first dance and the evening unfolded with guests celebrating under the tent late into the night, surrounded by lush vines, waterfront air, and the unmistakable magic that Prince Edward County weddings do so well.
Joyful Portraits Through the Vineyard

R&A took time to run hand in hand through the vineyard rows, embracing the spontaneity and joy of the moment. These portraits captured something so honest and timeless: the feeling of being completely present with one another in a place that already held so much beauty.
They also hired the Candid Camper photobooth which prooved to be a huge hit with their guests. From the time it opened until the time it shut down guests climbed inside with and without props to take various photos that were also printed and made into a personalized guestbook for R&A.
The vineyard was more than a backdrop, it became part of the story. The movement, the laughter, and the quiet romance of the setting gave their gallery a sense of charm and authenticity that perfectly reflected their day.
A Full Wedding Weekend at the Onsite Farmhouse
One of the most special elements of celebrating at Waupoos Estate is the ability to turn the wedding into a full experience rather than a single day.
For R&A, staying at the onsite farmhouse allowed them and their closest loved ones to settle into the celebration weekend in a way that felt intimate and relaxed. From arriving the night before to getting ready on their wedding day the farm house, which overlooks the property, added comfort, connection, and ease to the entire experience.
It gave the wedding a destination feel while still being rooted in the charm of Prince Edward County. A perfect balance for couples who want their guests to feel immersed in the setting.
