F&R’s Outdoor Wedding, The Cape Picton
Planning a wedding at The CAPE in Picton offers couples the opportunity to create a celebration that feels stylish, and vibrant, and this late-summer same sex wedding was the perfect example of that. Our team at Bowtied With Love worked closely with the couple to bring together a wedding experience that balanced elevated design, unforgettable entertainment, and thoughtful guest experiences, all set against the stunning mansion.
Inspired by the natural beauty of late summer in Ontario, the wedding design centered around a romantic wildflower theme filled with layered pink tones, soft textures, and organic floral arrangements. The relaxed elegance of the venue provided the perfect setting for the couple’s vision, allowing every detail to feel cohesive while still embracing the venue’s vibe.
Guests were welcomed to cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the lawn, where chilled pink Moët & Chandon added a celebratory touch and encouraged guests to settle into the experience. From the carefully curated cocktails to the seamless event flow, our team focused on creating an atmosphere that felt elevated while remaining fun and approachable. Even the smallest details reflected the couple’s style, including the groom’s Cartier wedding rings, which added a timeless luxury element to the celebration.
As guests took their seats for dinner the wedding truly came to life. A drag queen performance brought an unforgettable layer of entertainment and personality to the day, creating moments that had guests laughing, cheering, and fully engaged throughout the night. Guests captured memories at the 360 photo booth before dancing under the stars.
One of the most memorable aspects of this wedding weekend was the thoughtfully curated guest experience, beginning with accommodations at the Royal Hotel and the historic Merrill House. Rather than asking guests to coordinate their own lodging, the couple treated their guests to accommodations for the weekend, transforming the celebration into a relaxed and immersive getaway rather than a single-day event. Guests were able to fully settle into the county experience by exploring Picton, and connecting with one another throughout the weekend without worrying about transportation or late-night travel. By incorporating weekend accommodations into their wedding plans, the couple created additional time for meaningful moments, allowing the celebration to unfold naturally and making guests feel genuinely cared for from arrival to farewell.
