J&N’s Colourful Wedding | The Spice Factory Hamilton
J&N’s wedding at The Spice Factory Hamilton was nothing short of fun, whimsical, and vibrant details. It was the perfect blend of whimsy, colour, and celebration, designed to take guests on an experience across three distinct levels. For the Bowtied With Love team it really meant getting our steps in for the day.
The day began on the top floor of the venue, where the couple said their vows in a ceremony officiated by the bride’s father. There was something incredibly personal and heartfelt about having him lead the moment, and the setting only added to the feeling. Surrounded by the venue’s industrial character and warm light, the ceremony felt intimate, joyful, and deeply meaningful.
From there, guests made their way to the main floor for cocktails, a viewing of the cake, and conversation. This space quickly filled with energy as drinks were poured, hugs were exchanged, and everyone settled into the celebration. The private outdoor patio and bar added another layer to the experience, giving guests space to step outside, mingle, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere before dinner.
The second floor reception was where the design story truly came to life. Stunning harvest tables ran through the room, creating a warm and communal setting for dinner. It was layered with colourful taper candles and over 100 bud vases, each filled with beautiful blooms that brought movement, texture, and playful personality to the space. The overall look was whimsical, fun, and vibrant without losing the elevated feel of the evening.
More details below.
What made this wedding so memorable was the way each floor had its own purpose and energy. The top floor held the emotion of the ceremony, the main floor invited guests into celebration, and the second floor became the heart of the dinner experience. After dinner the guests went back to the second level to kick the night off with a first dance and a choreographed (with 10 songs) dance between father and daughter. With three levels of fun, every transition felt intentional and exciting.
The Spice Factory was the perfect backdrop for a couple who wanted their wedding to feel lively, colourful, and completely unique. From the meaningful ceremony led by family to the candlelit harvest table and patio cocktails, every part of the day reflected a celebration built around connection, movement, and joy.
