Our Officiating Services

  • Fee: $500 + tax and travel if applicable

    We will work with you to craft a modern wedding ceremony that is tailored to your love story and guide you through writing your vows and incorporating any special elements. The ceremony possibilities are endless.

  • Fee: $425 + tax and travel if appliable.

    We will provide you with a short and meaningful modern ceremony that may be edited to suit your needs. Couples are encouraged to write their own vows. An Elopement focuses on what matters most, the two of.

    Elopement planning services are also available for an additional fee.

  • Fee: $375 + tax and travel if applicable

    If you are considering a destination wedding or a city hall wedding but would prefer to be legally married in any Ontario location of your choice, our Make it Legal ceremony is the perfect option for you. Witnesses are also available for a fee.

Kingston Wedding Officiants, Matthew and Heather, are a husband-and-wife team, that bring warmth, experience, and a personal approach to every ceremony. We are passionate about creating inclusive, memorable wedding ceremonies for interfaith, non-denominational, spiritual, and 2SLGBTQI+ couples. 

Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a larger celebration our focus is always the same: crafting a heartfelt personal ceremony just for you. Your love story matters, and it deserves to be celebrated in a memorable way. Your greatest adventure is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

We are licensed to officiate weddings throughout Ontario, and regularly provide services in Kingston, Prince Edward County, and the Thousand Islands.

Get Married in 10 easy steps

1. Complete our contact us form.

2. Book a meeting with us to discuss your ceremony details.

3. If we are a good fit, a contract is sent to you for review and signature.

4. Once the booking fee is received we will draft and share your ceremony script.

5. Together we will create a ceremony that meets your vision and beliefs.

6. You apply for your marriage licence within 90 days prior to the ceremony.

7. We finalize the details with you a few weeks prior to the wedding.

8. We arrive at the ceremony venue and perform your ceremony.

9. We complete the legal paperwork and send it to the Office of the Registrar Genearal.

10. You apply for your official marriage certificate via Service Ontario.

Please Note: It takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks, for the government to register your marriage licence once it is received. A $15 fee, payable directly to Service Ontario, is required to obtain your official marriage certificate.

Our services include pre-ceremony guidance, a post ceremony detail guide, and a back up officiant.

  • 90 Days. You can apply for your licence any time within 90 days of your wedding date. 

  • A marriage licence may be obtained at one of many municipal offices located throughout Ontario. Here are a few that are located in close proximity to us.

  • We will send the paperwork to the government right after your wedding, however you will need to apply for your official marriage certificate 6-8 weeks after your wedding.

  • Absolutely, our custom ceremony service is fully customizable as long as we complete all of the legal requirements. 

  • Absolutely, as long as we complete all of the legal requirements. 

  • Yes, witnesses are available at a fee of $50/each.
