Wedding Guest Accommodations in Prince Edward County

Hotels, Inns, Resorts & Group Stays for Wedding Guests

Securing wedding guest accommodations is one of the most important, and often overlooked, aspects of planning a Prince Edward County wedding. While the County has become one of Ontario's most sought-after wedding destinations, its accommodation inventory remains relatively limited compared to larger cities. During peak wedding season, finding suitable lodging for guests can quickly become a challenge if reservations are not made well in advance.

Prince Edward County welcomes approximately one million visitors annually, with the majority arriving between May and October. It’s always fun to watch the little towns come to life in the summer with so many visitors. The region's award-winning wineries, beautiful beaches, culinary scene, and growing wedding industry attract visitors from across Ontario and beyond. As a result, hotels, inns, resorts, and vacation rentals often book months ahead, particularly on summer and fall weekends when multiple weddings and events may be taking place simultaneously.

One of the most common mistakes couples and guests make is assuming accommodations can be arranged closer to the wedding date. In reality, many of Prince Edward County's most desirable properties are boutique hotels with a limited number of rooms. Waiting too long to book can leave guests with fewer options, higher rates, or accommodations located significantly farther from wedding venues and weekend events.

For this reason, we recommend beginning accommodation planning as soon as your venue is secured. Couples hosting weddings during peak season should consider researching room blocks and sharing accommodation recommendations with guests 10–14 months in advance whenever possible. Providing lodging information early allows guests to budget, coordinate travel plans, and secure accommodations before availability becomes limited.

Another factor that surprises many first-time visitors is the size of Prince Edward County. Although often referred to simply as "The County," the region spans a LARGE geographic area, and travel times between accommodations, wedding venues, wineries, beaches, and attractions can vary considerably. Guests staying in Wellington, for example, may find themselves 30 to 45 minutes from venues located near Waupoos or Milford. Transportation planning should therefore be considered alongside accommodation planning, particularly when alcohol service and multiple wedding events are involved.

To help simplify your search, we've organized our recommended wedding guest accommodations by region: West Side, East Side, and South Side. This approach helps couples and guests better understand where accommodations are located relative to wedding venues, attractions, and transportation routes. Whether your guests are looking for a luxury boutique hotel, waterfront resort, charming inn, or group-friendly property, these recommendations provide a great starting point for planning a seamless Prince Edward County wedding weekend.
